Mission Songs Project is an initiative to revive contemporary Australian Indigenous songs from 1900 to 1999, focusing on the Christian missions, state run settlements and native camps where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were relocated.

Jessie Lloyd has travelled Australia in search of hidden songs to present this rare Indigenous narrative, a musical journey across time and across country.

Searching for the secular songs that were sung after church, Jessie Lloyd looks to explore the events around the 1957 Palm Island Strike, led by her grandfather Albie Geia. These unique songs consist of almost forgotten stories that can now shed light into the history of Australian Indigenous elders, families and communities.

Jessie Lloyd is a cultural practitioner of Indigenous music and song. Dedicated to the continuation of stories and song traditions, Jessie has spent time with elders uncovering precious stories from the mission days.

Campbelltown Arts Centre is fully accessible; The Performance Studio is fitted with a hearing loop and can accommodate people in wheelchairs. The Arts Centre Café will be operating across all opening hours to provide food and drink service.
