Artists & Practice: Stage 6 Visual Arts Study Day

Our 2019 intensive study day Artists & Practiceis designed to provide inspiration, artist case studies and technical expertise for students commencing their final year of Visual Art, for 2020 HSC.
This year’s program launches with a panel of recent graduates from local schools, Emmanuel Asante (Eagle Vale High School 2018) and Lilian Cao (Hurlstone Agricultural High School, 2017) and Chloe Winter (Campbelltown Performing Arts High School, 2018). These young artists will share advice on body of work development, planning for the HSC, as well as their post-school experiences.
The day includes intimate artist talks with renowned contemporary artists Liam Benson, Mechelle Bounpraseuth, Kuba Dorabialski, Danielle Mate Sullivan, Salote Tawale and Shireen Taweel, each introducing their diverse practices during breakout sessions throughout the day.
Students will practice technical skills and apply learning in a final breakout workshop with one of these artists, with options to work in ceramics, textiles, media and performance, or drawing and painting.
